On September 24, 2009, Such Manners, aka Slim, fractured the base of his femur and had to be put to sleep. He was a loving companion, an excellent riding horse, a worthy contender, and an amazing teacher. He had a heart at least twice the size of an average horse and a personality to match. He was the horse we trusted with beginner riders and used to help us train our younger horses. He was all we could have ever asked for and there will never be another like him. God Speed Slim.

Cobalt>>>
AKA Coby
Coby is a horse that we took in when one of our veterinarians informed us of his current problems. Cobalt is a neglect case whose hooves were almost curling and his paddock had nails and glass strewn about. He has now had a trim job and has had a bit more attention. He was trained to ride when he was younger, but has not been truly worked for years, so he is in the process of retraining. As of now, this 10 yr old gelding, has proven to be a crowd pleaser. He has allowed us to ride him bareback and with a saddle and has proven that he does indeed remember his steering skills, though he is still a little rusty. We have taken him out of the pens for working a few times now with no problems, though we did find out that he doesn't like duck flies. He has been ridden by beginner riders and did just fine. He is very good natured and although challenging at times, has proven to be quite the gentlemen. We think he is a morgan cross.

Ibn Mirage
AKA: Melody
Mel is our 7/8 arabian grey mare. She is in her late 20's. She is physically fit, but is just now starting to slow down. She is more for the intermediate rider because of her stubborn attitude, but is still a very good follower pony. I found that the best way to ride Melody is either bareback at a canter or saddled at a gallop. The last long ride Mel went on was over 7-10 miles long. She covered the distance in 1 HR and 10 minutes. At the end of the ride she didn't even need a bath because the only sweat on her was from saying hello to her new pasture mates. Melody was born out of our mom's first mare, Tora, and has a special place in our hearts. She is currently staying at a family member's house with her arabian companion of 15 years.
SF Rebellious Miss
PRICE REDUCED for a quicker sale--- > Reba is a 13 yr old 14.2 palomino mare registered PHA. I have used her for lessons, trail riding, parades, and showing. She would make a magnificent broodmare. We believe that Reba is a tennesee walker/quarter horse cross and she does display the tennessee walker gait with a very quarter horse type build. She has been shown at halter in trail, conformation, and showmanship and she excelled in all categories. Reba is a wonderful lesson horse because of her high tolerance levels for kids. I have tied her for long periods of time to simply groom her and she was very content. Reba loves bathes, is good for the farrier, great at trailering, good on her own, and loves attention. She was my first horse and I love her dearly, but I have very little time for her and need to rehome her so someone else can love and enjoy her. Reba has been diagnosed with mild navicular on her fore right hoof, so light work is ideal. She is currently ridden with shoes. She is UTD on all shots, dewormings and farrier care. If you have any questions or would like to see more pictures please contact me.
I am asking $650 Or Best Offer (I am very negotiable to the right home)

Farrah
She is our "Barn Kitty" or would be if we had a nice closed off barn. She is very social and loves to be around people. She is also very tolerant of our dogs. Nutmeg especially has taken a liking to her, in fact she likes to carry her away from the other dogs if she thinks they are playing too roughly with "her" kitty. Farrah recently had four adorable kittens. All kitties, including Farrah herself, are scheduled to get spayed very soon :)
Scrat! the Llama...
Although we still miss Yoda, we realized that our herd would not be safe without another guard llama. That is where Scrat comes in... My dear friend and frequent assist, Jan Sullivan, offered us one of her geldings for a fair price because she has another cria on the way. So now, introducing, Scrat, the llama. Scrat is smaller than Yoda and has thicker/longer wool. He is still fairly shy but has settled in well. He already keeps a close watch on all of our dogs and our neighbors' dogs, and stays with the goats in their houses throughout the night. He is very well behaved and we are very grateful to have him. We are hoping to rehome with the herd of goats, because we know that the won't be happy here without his goats.
